Full Tilt Poker's Cyndy Violette Hosts Online Fundraiser for Poker Gives

Las Vegas, NV

Professional poker player and 2009 Women in Poker Hall of Fame inductee will help raise awareness and money for charities

Full Tilt Poker's Cyndy Violette regularly takes on some of the world’s toughest ring games, but this weekend anyone may join her at the FullTiltPoker.com tables for an online charity event to raise awareness and money for three great causes.

On Sunday, May 17th, at 15:00 EDT, Violette will host a $5 + $5 charity poker tournament in the “private” section of the FullTiltPoker.com tournament lobby. Five dollars from each entry will be awarded to winning players. The other $5 will benefit The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Special Olympics through Poker Gives. For details visit http://www.greasiewheels.com.

Violette has celebrated a long and prosperous career in the industry and was dedicated to the game well before it was fashionable. Earning a World Series of Poker bracelet and millions of dollars from tournaments and cash games, Violette is highly respected by her peers.

To prove it, the poker industry will induct Violette and two other time-honored women during the 2009 Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) dinner/dance and induction ceremony on Friday, June 5th, at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. For more information visit http://www.wiphof.com.
