Roland de Wolfe

Roland de Wolfe started out covering the poker circuit as a journalist, and became the poker editor of British gambling magazine, Inside Edge. Roland used his extensive poker knowledge to improve his game, and began playing professionally in 2004.

In 2005, Roland’s first major win came at the World Poker Tour when he took the Grand Prix de Paris title for over $570K. He cashed in the $1K No-Limit Hold 'em event at the World Series of Poker and in the $15K Main Event at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

In 2006, he placed third in the $25K WPT World Championship, taking home over $1 million. He cashed twice at the WSOP, including a third-place finish in the $2K No-Limit Shootout. Roland became the first player to win championship events on both the WPT and the EPT, earning more than $691K by winning the EPT Main Event in Ireland.

In 2009, Roland won his first gold bracelet in the $5K Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8-or-better event for more than $245K. This victory saw Roland make his name as the second player to complete poker’s Triple Crown by winning Championship Titles in the WSOP, WPT and EPT.

In 2010, he finished fourth at the WSOP Europe Main Event, to add a further £278K ($430K) to his career winnings.
