• Nicknamed "EFro"

Eric "EFro" Froehlich was born in New Jersey. Competitive from an early age, Eric was a keen sportsman who played baseball, basketball, and football. However, after suffering an injury that left him unable to play competitively, Eric decided to channel his competitive spirit into other outlets. He began playing the card game "Magic: The Gathering" and soon became very successful, placing in several worldwide competitions. Eric was ranked the #1 Magic player in the world in 2002, after placing in the money in every event that year.

While Eric was playing Magic at a professional level, he also decided that he would give poker a shot. Eric started playing poker with friends and took to it right away. He was 21 years old when he entered the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in June of that year, making the age cut-off by only two months. He hasn't looked back since.

That year, Eric won a WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 Limit Hold 'em event, earning $362,000. At that time, he was the youngest person to ever win a WSOP bracelet. He would hold this record until 2006, when it was broken by Jeff Madsen, another Full Tilt Poker pro.

Eric won his second bracelet at the 2006 WSOP in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha with Rebuys event, earning another $300,000 for his efforts. Eric went on to cash four more times at the 2006 WSOP. Later that year, in the 2006 Borgata Poker Open, Eric made the final table once again.

In his short poker career, Eric has shown remarkable talent; we expect to see a lot more tournament wins from this gifted young poker player. If you'd like to see Eric honing his poker skills, you can find him playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
