Stefan Rapp

Austrian native Stefan Rapp is a widely travelled individual. After spending his earliest years in Almeria, Spain, he moved to Buenos Aries for school before moving back to Austria. An accomplished table tennis player during his college years, Stefan didn’t find poker until his tour of duty in the Austrian Army.

While stationed in his hometown of Linz, he came across the Concord Card Casino. Stefan immediately developed an interest in the game and began playing as often as possible. His new interest rapidly developed into notable talent, enabling him to return to school and finance his economics degree. Upon finishing in 2007, Stefan made the decision to become a professional poker player.

Since that time, Stefan’s built an impressive career that includes cash finishes in WSOP-E and EPT events. His most recent successes include a third-place finish in the €2.5K Seven-Card Stud event at the EPT Baden Classic where he earned well over €51K. Not one to let the cards get cold, Stefan just took fifth – and €30K – in the €3K No-Limit Hold ‘em event of the European Challenge in Linz in March 2008.

Stefan also did very well at the 2008 European Poker Championship, Baden. He placed 3rd out of 163 players and won €87,250 for his efforts.

While Stefan prefers playing Limit Hold ‘em, you’re also likely to find him playing Pot-Limit Omaha. If you want to see him in action, look for Stefan playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
